5 Budget Friendly Ways To Entertain the Kids This Summer!

 

Whether you're splurging your stimulus check on that great beach vacation or planning a fabulous 'staycation', WExchange is here to help you entertain the kids this summer - without busting your budget!

  1. Encourage reading! We've a fantastic, ever-changing library of great books for kids and teens all many for less than $1! Stock up on great books and when the kids complain, 'I'm soooo bored', - let them riffle thru your stash for a great book! Lazing in the hammock, sitting up in a tree, reading outside on our beautiful Virginia summer days is a great way to keep your kids learning, improving their vocabulary - and out of your hair!
  2. Play Dress up! For the younger crew, we're an excellent source for great dress-up clothes for boys and girls! For the   girl's call it 'dress up' for the boys call it 'survivor' or 'commando' - be creative. Flip through our racks - visit on sale days   check out our accessories and toys. Don't forget to look through our huge selection of ever-changing 'grab bags' of      small goobies, palm-sized toys, plastic soldiers, cars, plastic dinosaurs and the like - accessories and what-nots that we     bag up for cheap to add fun, special treats to the dress up box!
  3. Gaming is Hot! There's a big gaming convention coming up in Ohio soon - and guess what all these people are gathering to do? Play games! And not just on-line and electronic games either - BOARD GAMES! See? You won't be considered out of touch if you stock up on a few 'old-fashioned' board games dear parent - for those rainy days - at home on your staycation or at the beach - be prepared for some good old fun! We've always lots to choose from at dirt cheap prices - puzzles of all kinds and all sizes too!
  4. Music to Your Ears! Our CD selection is revolving - encourage your children to broaden their horizons and explore all kinds of music - even the classical - they just might like it. Buy a small selection of 'new to them' music from our collection for a few dollars and keep them on hand. When the kids are looking for something to do - haul them out. Encourage them to listen - and then talk to you and tell you what they think. Help keep those lines of communication open to this summer!
  5. Video! We sell an enormous amount of VHS tapes - DVD's fly out the door too! Best of all - we sell 'em cheap! You can afford to stock up on a nice handful of tapes and DVD's to keep them entertained when they really start driving you crazy!
